Lego Corvus (2017 Battlefront EA 2)

I had the privelege of watching the playthrough of the campaign of EA's Battlefront 2.

Similar to others, I was inspired by the Corvus featured in the Campaign. I decided to make a model of the Corvus out of two of my Microfighters, namely the 75128 Tie Advanced Prototype Microfighter, and the 75031 Tie Interceptor Microfighter. The result is shown.

Here a back view. Note how there is only one large central engine here, instead of one lagre central engine and two smaller side engines. The engine shown here is made out of the back portion of the Tie Interceptor Microfighter, with a cockpit outer-lining piece added behind it.

The ship design features sloped sides. There is an internal hinge mechanism, taken from both Microfighters' wings, that allows this slope. The remaining hinge pieces were used to make the angled Tie Fighter wings on the top and bottom of both sides of the ship.

More hinge pieces were used to make a soft, sloped belly of the ship. Additionally, some flick-fire missiles were added underneath to make this ship a little more useable with other microfighters.

This design had multiple extra pieces. These were stored in a bag. Among these extra pieces is most notably the clear cockpit pieces from both of the Microfighters.

The build is sturdy enough for display, and some light play, and features some new sloping techniques.
It makes a good display piece for Battlefront EA II fans. Enjoy!

  1. The slope in the design makes the Corvus look so real! Great job!
